If you’re looking forward to meeting someone new, there are so many uncertainties. What’s even more unpredictable is if you’ve never met them before in person and you've only been chatting online.

So before you go on a blind date, here are actual ways you can have a great time

  • Don’t Expect Anything

Sure, you’ve imagined him/her to look like the perfect example of your dream. What follows is the disappointment when they look the exact opposite.

Save yourself this drama and try not to expect anything. Rather, go with the disposition that you’re there to have a great time.

  • Be Open-Minded

Don’t be quick to judge. Stir up topics that will get the both of you talking.

Remember that chemistry can grow and you can both get to enjoy each other’s company. Just go with the flow of the day and see where it will lead you!

  • Wear What You Love

Yes, it’s a blind date. But don’t go about dressing up as someone you’re not. Choose outfits that are comfortable and makes you feel good about yourself. So that even before you get to your date’s venue, you’re already in a good mood.

Remember blind dates are not just about attracting the other person but feeling personally attractive.

  • Watch Your Alcohol

Unless you’re getting a cab home and you’re sure you can handle your tipsy state, take it slow on the drinks.

If you’re a little nervous, it’s okay to have a drink or two to help ease you in.

  • Forget About Your Insecurities

Try not to overthink anything. If you think the other person isn’t interested in the conversation, you can ask what they would like to discuss.

However, insecurities as regards your body or how you express yourself shouldn’t be a topic of discussion. Enjoy every moment without thinking about them at all

  • Don’t Complain

If they are late or the food is a little salty, make jokes about it instead. Complaining only sends negative signals to your date.

  • Try Something Different

You can ask if they are interested in going for a short walk. Another option would be trying something completely different on your menu.

You can use this as a subject of laughter or conversation. Being spontaneous is likely to make your blind date a lot more fun than you envisioned.

The ways of having a proper blind date aren't always constant. But these steps can guide you on having a memorable happy or a ''just chill'' ending.
