It is always quite difficult to tell at first glance if what you feel is lust or love because the feeling is initially very similar and it comes rushing at you with no control and wants to swallow you up. They say love is blind but lust is equally blind because you cannot see what is true even if it is staring at you right in the face. You have to understand that there is a line between lust and love.
Lust is an intense physical attraction that births an overwhelming and unexplainable feeling of desire due to the hormones coursing through your veins while love is an emotional attraction and deep affection for someone that lasts for a long time. Lust can last for a long time that it makes you think that you have found your soulmate. Here are ways to tell that what you feel is lust and not love:
BED—dazzled
If all he/she is interested in is to dazzle you in bed then that is no way close to love because if you are in love, he/she should be able to dazzle you on all fronts. The only memories people in lust have to hold on to are the tumbling times that they have shared.
A String of Stunted Conversations
When you are in lust, there are no meaningful conversations except conversations featuring beds and no clothes. You do not care about knowing each other, you do not share dreams and aspirations. You do not even know that it is possible to be in each other’s company and converse without knowing that time has left you behind.
Red Flags
Lust is quite blinding and instead of seeing his/her flaws and trying to help him/her through it, all you see is perfection. Instead of red flags, all you see are red clothing materials that you use in creating blindfolds.
Poor Connection
The physical attraction is indeed 100% but the emotional attraction is zero; when your significant other zones out when it comes to non-sexual activities with you then you better know that lust is in the air.
No Plans
There are no plans made between you and the lust of your life; you keep secrets and expect the same from your partner. You make sure your partner does not get involved with your family.
