Quench Your Thirst! Drink Home-Made Lemonade

Lemonade is a very refreshing drink especially, when served 'well chilled' on a hot day! Drinking lemonade feels like heaven and it's definitely the best way to enjoy your weekend, all you need is just 10 minutes.

You can't beat the health benefits of this super drink. Lemonade helps you to stay calm and cool. Due to its many nourishing elements like vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin A, vitamin E, folate, niacin thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, phosphorus and protein, you would agree with me that this is one of the best ways to stay healthy, hydrated and refreshed at the same time.

The recipe below is for 6 to 8 servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 gallon cold water
  • 1 lemon, sliced Mint sprigs, for garnish.

Directions Place sugar and hot water in a clean kitchen bowl, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and cold water to make up to 1 gallon/jar. Stir properly until well mixed, then pour the lemonade over your glass of ice, squeeze a slice of lemon on top of your drink, and garnish with a sprig of mint and you are good to go!
