If you’re stressed up from work, your business or life in general, you have a strong tendency to break out on your face. So, your wedding may have been postponed during these times, here’s a friendly commiseration and a reminder to breathe, relax and take advantage of the extra time to look after yourself.

Here are seven tips to get the perfect glow before your makeup comes on the big day:

Facial Oil Massage

Massage your face with a gentle oil like coconut oil. Its antibacterial properties will also ward off any unwanted bacteria causing a breakout on your skin and will make your skin plump from moisture.

For best results, massage your face with a couple drops when your skin is fresh from a wash.

Milk It Up

Using soap with milk or raw milk will boost your skin’s appearance due to the presence of Vitamin A. Studies have proven that the existence of Vitamin A in creams helps reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles and controls acne.

For an overnight quick fix, using a raw milk face pack that you can wash off with cool water in the morning will be beneficial. Goat’s milk is a good option, that’s what the Queen of Sheba used to remain flawless!

Use An Oil Based Cleanser

An oil-based cleanser will help remove traces of dirt and makeup easily and will leave your skin moisturized.

Wash Your Face

Sometimes you have a long day and forget to shower or even wash your face. Get into the habit of washing your face before you go to bed especially if you’ve had makeup on so that you don’t wake up with oily and grimy skin.

Use A Mask

If your skin is dry, the right face mask can help with hydration, open up your pores and absorb extra oils. Depending on what your skin goals are, be sure to check out the masks that have aloe vera, avocadoes and even charcoal.

Avoid Salty Foods In The Evening

This should be adhered to especially before the big day. Foods high in salt taken in the evening will make your face puffy as your body will begin holding on to water in certain areas.

Use Vitamin C

Vitamin C is great for brightening up the eye area especially if you tend to have dark circles in the morning. Get creams with Vitamin C or liquorice root extract for best results.

Good luck on achieving the freshest version of skin that you can before your wedding day. If your wedding is a while away, use these tips to plan a nightly or weekly routine so that your skin gets into the routine of glowing!
