PDA (Public Display of Affection or Not)

Falling in love is fantastic and when this does happen we want to showcase it to the world. However, extreme PDA is generally uncouth. While you feel your adorable public display of affection is totally harmless, other people are likely to feel uncomfortable. Some of the elements for tolerance may include age, social norms, and customs in your society. If you're not sure whether your PDA may evoke the wrong reaction, you should probably hold off until you are in a more private atmosphere.

How far is too far?
Most people will agree that holding hands and occasional tender touches or glances are the most accepted forms of PDA so stick to that. If it’s something you never want your mother to see, then it's most likely too much to do in public.

The PDA Etiquettes are so basic:
#1 A few kisses here and there are okay at certain times, like in times of hellos and goodbyes. Make it look good.

#2 Reaching for private areas in public is not okay, when you feel the urge, you know it’s time to get a room. No flashing of skin.

#3 Groping is one of the highest abominations of PDA etiquettes. It is never acceptable. It’s distasteful and a painful sight for the public.

#4 Is your lovers face a lollipop? No? Are you a vampire? No? Good, then you have no reason to lick or bite your lover in front other people. Again, leave that for your bedroom.

#5 Watch out for impressionable children, the last thing you want to do is display in their presence.

Online PDA
#6 Social network changed the PDA game a few years ago. People now turn to social network to post personal things and show off their lovers. This has been proven to not only make people uncomfortable but also embarrass your lover if he or she doesn’t like being in the public eye. You can show people you love them without having to embarrass them, tone it down. Although, it's a two way thing.

PDA is a tricky business. There’s a thin line between cute or affection and repulsive or disgusting. If you’re big on PDA you might as well master the art and be on the pretty side of it.
