This week, Itohan and Isaac tell us a beautiful love tale of how they first met, their lives together and their plans for the future as a couple:
How Did You First Meet?
We met at a hangout organised by friends, and I honestly hated him that first day because of how loud he was at the party. Like till now ehn, I still think about how annoying he was. He was just making noise up and down and attracting everyone's attention to himself (laughs). I wouldn't have expected we would even be friends not to talk of being in a relationship sef (laughs) - Itohan
(laughs) yeah, but in my defence, I was having a bad day before the hangout, and I had one too many drinks before showing up, so I was super jolly before the show even started (laughs) - Isaac
So, how did it happen that you're now in a relationship?
As fate will have it, we met at another hangout some months after. I was really bored because the friends I came with had left me to hang out with other people. So it was almost like we were both alienated from the crowd. He came to say hi first and it took a while before I registered his identity - Itohan
(Laughs) Like she literally blurted out the words "Oh you were the loud one." I was embarrassed but I played it cool. When we started talking, it turned out that we had a lot of things in common - Isaac
How was your first date like?
It was pretty cool before then we had talked a lot. So it was easy to tell that she was on to me, but you can't be too sure you know? I asked if she would like to go on a date with me and yeah, I had fun - Isaac
To be honest, it was beautiful. Like he seemed to have everything all planned out. It almost felt like I was a character in some fairytale movie. That was when I knew that ha you this girl you have enter man trap - Itohan
What are your plans for the future?
We plan on leaving the country after our wedding. One of the reasons is because we plan to have kids and honestly, we'd like them to experience a better way of life than we did - Itohan
Yeah... what she said, and to never stop loving each other (smiles) - Isaac
So far, how’s your relationship going?
It's been great. At first, we fought a lot, but I think we have gotten the perfect way of sorting out our issues - Isaac and Itohan
What's your favourite thing about your partner?
Her smile, her supportive nature, her selflessness and dedication to everything. In fact, everything about her - Isaac
He just always knows how to make the most from anything and I absolutely love that about him - Itohan
Who's more romantic?
(laughs) Isn't it obvious? He is! - Itohan
Any words of advice?
Love isn't a fairytale story. You should always be open to making it work together - Itohan
Don't do to someone you love what you wouldn't accept - Isaac
