COVID-19 has plagued the world for months now, and it doesn’t look like it’s leaving anytime soon. People have had to learn how to live safely and protect themselves while going about their businesses.

A lot of weddings have had to be postponed because of COVID-19, but as the pandemic has no end in sight, people have started having their weddings amid the pandemic.

If you want to have your wedding amid COVID-19, then the following steps will come in useful.

#1. Cut Down Your Guest List

The fewer people are at your wedding, the safer your wedding will be. While it may prove difficult to cut out some of your friends and family, especially those who are high-risk, you should remember that you are doing the best thing.

You could also have an option for people who would prefer to watch the event from home.

#2. Have e-meetings With Vendors

Rather than have physical face-to-face meetings with your various wedding vendors, you could resort to having e-meetings to protect yourself from possibly contracting the virus.

#3. Have Streaming Options

You should make arrangements for live streaming for people who would love to see you get married but can’t attend the wedding physically due to COVID-19.  Zoom and Skype are great streaming options to consider

#4. Social Distancing

To help reduce the chances of COVID-19 spread at your wedding, you should follow the recommended guideline of 6 feet of space between guests. This will further make your wedding as safe as possible.

#5. Place Sanitizers at Strategic Locations

Placing sanitizers at strategic locations such as beside doors, in the restrooms, etc, will serve as a conscious reminder to your guests that they need to sanitize their hands as often as possible.

#6. Cancel Buffets

Buffets are another high-risk spot for the spread of the virus because a lot of people handle the same utensils. So you should definitely skip the buffet. Instead, you could have plated meals served to the guests at their table.

#7. Open-air Locations

Since it is a known fact that COVID-19 spreads faster in closed air locations, you may want to have your wedding in an open-air venue instead.

Rather than the fancy hall you want, you should consider open-air locations such as a beach.

These tips will help you better plan how to safely throw a wedding amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
