There was no looking back for Hikmat and Femi when they started dating in December of 2011. They met three months earlier by chance at the home of a mutual friend. Two years in, they both attended a wedding in Dubai where Femi proposed
"We were in Dubai for a wedding and Femi was the best man, after his best man speech at about 11:45 p.m., he started talking about a certain lady....shed a few tears, got down on one knee and the rest is history. (Kindly note that we started planning our wedding before he proposed. proposal was something he felt he needed to do)." - Hikmat
Come January 2014, they celebrated with family and friends with a whirlwind of events starting with a Nikkai ceremony that flowed easily into a reception and finishing up with an amazing after party later that night (pictures coming soon)
"We wanted a wedding we personally would enjoy, and since Femi's dad had only passed on 14 months ago we decided to have a small wedding to honour him. We also wanted to boogie and that's when we decided to have an after party to host our friends. Colours of the day were coral and green (green was Femi's Dad's favourite colour). B's signature was our wedding planner and all we needed to do was to give her an idea of what we wanted and she gave us a party we would never forget."
