Best Looks from Lagos Bridal Fashion Week: Day 2

Day 2 of Lagos Bridal Fashion Week had more showings than any other day. Nine designers showcased their collections and we watched closely, sharing every detail on our insta story. This post has all our best looks from each designer on day 2 of LBFW.

Mazelle

Mazelle opened the show and the first thing that came to mind was vintage glam. Elegant long-sleeved dresses with excellent finishing, a lovely beaded dress with beading draped down both arms and extreme off shoulder sleeves were some of our favourite looks.

Patrick Ayanski

This designer brought us traditional looks to live for. We loved the fringing on several asooke pieces, and can't wait to see that white geometric piece on a 2018 bride.

Yinka Alli

That sheer top dress had everyone doing a double take. It is a beautiful illusion. Lined with nude material that blends straight into the skin and lets the overlying lace work take centre stage. There were also smart and luxurious midi dresses which we think are perfect for court weddings and even as reception dresses for the bride who loves to be unencumbered.

Alonuko

There were such unique dresses in the Alonuko collection. This lovely peplum dress was one of our favourites of the night.

Peep the unique neckline of the long sleeved mermaid dress.

This shimmery princess dress was a beautiful sight even though like many of the other huge ball gowns at LBFW, it was a whole production to walk in. The model was such a champ as she gracefully gathered her skirts glided down the runway.

Virgos Lounge

The detail and craftsmanship in the Virgos Lounge dresses are remarkable. The closer you come to the dress the more you see, as evident in this backstage photo. The designer describes them as dresses for the contemporary bride. Spot on.

Imad Eduso

A very cohesive collection using bridal satin. These pieces were obviously carefully planned. We love the flawless execution of bridal satin which can be challenging to work with for some. We had more than 3 favourites but had to streamline.

David Tlale

The David Tlale showing was epic from the first dress to the rousing conclusion. The South African designer brought several outstanding pieces in this gorgeous salmon colour we are loving right now. The dresses were regal, dramatic and popping!

The gorgeous green dress at the top of the post is from this collection. This showing was arguably the higlight of LBFW.

There were some unique pieces for the guys as well. They looked super comfy too.

Kimono Kollection

KK showed out with an extremely stylish, dapper menswear collection. They even created menswear for women which is seriously one of our weaknesses. All the ladies at SWP are ready to be groomsmen this year. Any takers?

Brides by Nona

Brides by Nona ended day 2 with a flourish. There were big bows, cascading floral trains, fitted dress and that last masterpiece... A lot of young women were on social media declaring "I have found my dress." We went home pleased.
