Did you get married in the makeup boom? The days of over-pronounced highlights and contours are slowly fading away; brides are embracing a whole new bridal makeup era which focuses on a minimalistic look because less is more!

Want to join the brides that preach natural beauty? Here are some awesome wedding makeup trends for 2020:

Barely-There Face

This involves a face with minimal coverage, adding concealer only to a few spots. The result is a luminous look which allows the true face of the bride’s skin to reign supreme. This is rule number one for the minimalist look.

Pop Of Color

Rather than being bronzed out or using the strobing technique, the emphasis of this look is on the blush. Having rosy cheeks are back in! The best tactic for this look is to use cream blush as opposed to powder so that the colour suits well on the skin.

Bronzed Eyelids

Instead of having an overly pale or taupe colour code on your eyelids, you can opt for bronze eyelids. The good thing about this look is that it looks good on different skin tones and can be used for a fancy or toned down look depending on what overall look is sought after.

Glossy Tint

A simple tinted gloss is now preferred over wearing a deep shade of lipstick with a clear gloss over it. A glossy tint is great for the bride who prefers less depth of colour; red and nude tints are the most popular. This trend will fit a lot of unique bridal styles.

Full Brows

If you have been blessed with brows that grow well and take to tweezers then you have the ability to pretty much control how you would like them to look. The world of makeup has shifted a bit from thin, perfectly tweezed brows to full and naturally shaped brows.

If any grooming takes place, it is very minimal in order to allow the actual shape to dominate the overall makeup look.

White or Metallic Eyeliner

White or Metallic eyeliner actually make your eyes bright or really stand out. Don’t want to have a pop of colour on your cheeks? Have it as a bold yet subtle dose of eyeliner.

Which one of these trends are you looking forward to trying on your big day? Will you maintain the ‘less is more’ approach or will you go for traditional slay?
