My husband and I have been dealing very bad with handling work and the kids. So earlier this year, we decided on getting a house-help. Recently I noticed that she is a little withdrawn from everybody. I also noticed she was laid back on work and all. I decided that we go to the hospital a few days ago, only to find out that she's pregnant.
I tried asking her who's responsible, but she wouldn't respond. All she did was burst into tears and continue apologising. When we got home, I decided to tell my husband, so that if we can both talk to her, she will tell who impregnated her. When my husband opened up his mouth to speak, she just started screaming at him, that he has no right to ask her any question like that. Instead of him to react, he just kept quiet. I had to shut her up because I was shocked at how disrespectful she was to him. I'm confused right now because it looks like I am missing something here.

It's quite unpleasant to be uncertain about so many things. For clarity sake, you may need to have a heart-to-heart talk with the house-help asking why she talked to your husband in that manner. When she has warmed up enough to you, she will tell you why and subsequently, who impregnated her.
You should also calmly speak with your husband about his absent reaction during the previous interaction with the help. You may need a bit of time to calmly gather your thoughts before acting out this advice.
