I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 7 months now. The first few months was so romantic (I’m a hopeless romantic so every detail
counts). He was always calling, even a lot more than I did. We would share details of how our days went in the evenings and do a lot of talking.
Nowadays, it’s been very different. He doesn’t call as much anymore, most times, I’m the one who calls. One time, I decided not to call or chat and we didn’t talk for a week. When I brought it up, he apologized but didn’t try to get better.
Whenever I say that I love him, he responds with love you too or just ignores it altogether. Is this a sign that I should just break up?
I don’t want to be heartbroken again.

It can be quite unsettling to be unsure about what's going on in your relationship. If you're still interested in working on your relationship, you should consider bringing up the conversation again. Try to ask him why this is recurrent and discuss what levels of commitment you both are in. In the case where it happens again, take a step back and pause. Since heartbreaks aren't something to play with, you may need this to help you determine whether to continue with the relationship or not.
