The Appeal Of An Outdoor Wedding

Wedding traditions have evoked a ceremony that celebrates a union of two love birds, but where? A hall- small or large- in essence, an enclosed space. When people think of weddings, we think a big enclosed space with lots of food, and with twice as many people.

However, there are other options asides an enclosed place. One of such is outdoor weddings, which have begun to be embraced by couples who are riding on the wings of a fresh perspective.

One of the reasons this trend is becoming so accepted centres on how you can hardly go wrong with it. Most times, we choose indoor weddings in favour of our cultural traditions or personal inhibitions over modern and refreshing alternatives.

For one, outdoor weddings leave guests with memories that last forever (or at least linger for a long time) because it feels more personal and allows for a smooth transition into the actual celebration. It brings the bride and groom, with their guests, to a perfect backdrop.

Outdoor weddings also show a deep appreciation of nature and how one can directly relate to its environment. There is an inexplicable ambience that permeates the environment, that naturally relaxes your guests and sets them in the mood to truly and consciously enjoy the moment the about-to-be-wedded couples are about to share.

You should inform your guests that you intend to have an outdoor wedding which will prepare them for just the right outfit.

To reflect the contrast, indoor weddings usually pose potential issues that could be avoided if you consider outdoor weddings such as:

  • Congestion

  • Heat due to lack of or intermittent power supply

  • Restraint of the photographer's movement... I bet you won't want them to miss capturing the important moments.

  • Guest don't get the chance to mingle well

  • The traditional way of serving meals

  • Unnecessarily expensive and excessive decorations etc.

If you keep an open mind on your options, you would find that there is so much fun you can savour from hosting an outdoor wedding, with all the benefits it carries. Nature is truly a gift we should enjoy.
