It's the first of many kinds of wedding anniversaries. The first year of being with the love of your life and this first anniversary happens only once. You may be a little confused about what to do since you've probably been doing it now and then. However, there's so much to do on this great day.

  • Host a Party

Preferably an evening party where you gather friends and well-wishers to celebrate with you. If you're working on a tight budget, stick to just food and drinks. With music on, read out some lovely poetry to your spouse and renew your vows, dance, play games and have a lot of fun.
Spend the night in a hotel.

Re-live your honeymoon at a hotel of your choice. While at it spend some hours at the spa, go swimming, relax by the pool and feed yourselves with the buffet at the hotel.

  • Delay Your Honeymoon

A good idea would be to delay your honeymoon until your first anniversary. Compared to your wedding, you'll have enough time to plan. Also, you can have longer days. Most couples may not have the luxury to spend more days away from work. However, your first anniversary will give you enough time to ask for a leave.

  • Surprise Each Other

Use this anniversary as an opportunity to explore your creative prowess. You'll be needing a lot of that to surprise your other half. Also, keep in mind the kind of gifts they'll be shocked to have. It makes it much more fun.

  • Go to fun spots

It's a whole day dedicated to the both of you. Go to the beach, movies, an expensive restaurant, a massage parlor and a club all on that day. Re-visit the spontaneous moments you shared during your honeymoon and re-ignite it.

  • Check off your Bucket Lists

Your first anniversary is the best time to cross-out some activities in your bucket lists. So, if you ever wanted to go indoor skydive, plant a tree, or anything else, this is it!

  • Do something New and Spontaneous

Have you ever kissed your spouse in public? Imagine doing crazy wild but fun things for the first time on your first anniversary. You'd be creating a lasting memory with all of these.
