It's a new year again! With all of the goodness that comes with its newness, the most wanted is love. If you already have a significant other, there's nothing more rewarding than spending the rest of the new year with them.

Since resolutions are a great way of rejuvenating one's love life, here are some relationship assertations to consider:

More Dates

Maybe you ''genuinely'' didn't have enough time last year. Well, give no more excuses this year. Dates are a great way of rekindling your love. Remember, it doesn't have to be grand. An evening walk while eating your favorite snacks can work.

More Eye Contact

With so many distractions feeding off on our daily routine, eye contact has become a rare thing. This year, consider having eye contact with your significant other deliberately. It sends the sparks flying in your tummy!

More Compliments

It is easy to forget how to give compliments. Sometimes, it's not as a result of neglect. It just happens that you aren't thinking about it. Make it a must this year to appreciate the sparkle in their eyes, their laughter and all the other things that made you fall in love.

A Lot More Support

Personal goals can be overwhelming. You may not even have the time for your partner's activities. Consider setting goals together and working towards it. Don't forget to support each other's dreams as much as possible this year.

Social Media Free Days

It's amazing how couples can spend the whole day on social media. It can cause a strain in your relationship in the long run. This year, create an organic time strictly for the both of you. Turn off your phones and spend time together, talking or meditating.

Have More Childlike Fun

Nothing beats child fun! This year do more spontaneous activities. Play in the sand, have pillow fights, go on a bouncing castle or take a rollercoaster ride. Whatever you do, make sure you don't get stuck in the monotonous adult life. Make out time to play with each other.

Make Out More

Not everyone approves of public display of affection. So, you don't have to make out in public. If it means planning towards it, you should do that a lot more. It will rekindle the fires of your love and bring back lovely memories.

With the many things that may come up this year, having your partner beside you makes it easier. So, don't forget to get them involved in everything you do.
