7 Bachelor-Party Rules Every Man Should Know

Almost every bride, raises her eyebrow when she is asking her husband to be what his plans are for his bachelor party.

The bachelor party, which is usually planned by the best man, is a party given for a man who is about to get married, typically one attended by men only.

However, for some reason, everyone seems to think a bachelor party is incomplete or not fun, without having strippers in attendance.

That’s not true; you can have a stripper-free bachelor party. Click HERE to read an article on how to achieve that.

Anyway, just like there are rules to every game, there are specific rules every man should know about the bachelor party.

Here are 7 of them.

1.    The Best Man is the Party Planner

Although it is the groom’s right to determine what he wants and the night festivities, it is still essential for the best man to know he is the man in charge.

He must make sure it happens and happens exactly how the groom will want it.

No surprises, especially if it has to do with having strippers. You must confirm because usually there is an agreement between the groom and the bride on what they are allowed to do in their parties.

2.    The Groom Determines the Guest List

The attendees are not just who you know or like as the best man. It is a list of the groom’s friend.

Some would want family members and colleagues in, and some just want their friends. Whatever it is, agree with him and remember the night is about him, not you.

3.    The Groom Pays Nothing

It is the responsibility of the best man to have a plan around how to finance the bachelor party of his groom. The groom pays absolutely nothing.

Of course, the best man doesn’t have to bear all the cost. He is in charge of putting up a plan which should involve every attendee.

4.    Don’t Be Reckless

It’s his last night as a bachelor, but you don’t want it to the last night he ever wants to see his friends or a night he never wants to remember.

Be responsible, don’t make decisions that will put him or anyone in any form of risk or danger. Safe fun, please.

5.    Blacking Out Isn’t the Goal

You want the groom to remember his last night of ‘freedom’, so a few shots in honour of the groom is fine. Don’t aim at ‘shotgunning’ beers.

6.    Transportation for All Attendees

The best man must arrange how guests will be transported to and from the destination.

You don’t want multiple people calling the bride for direction or help on how to navigate; especially if it’s a destination unfamiliar to most guests.

Remember the groom pays for nothing, both financially and in execution too.

7.    The Groom Calls the Shot

As much as the best man is in charge, the groom calls the shot that night.

If he wants the party to end, it ends, if he wants it to continue even though you all are tired, it continues. If he says no more alcohol, then no more. If he says more booze, then more booze.

It’s his night, and he must feel like everyone made only the decisions that suits him.

Heed these tips, and you will remember all the fun you are about to have.
