When planning your wedding budget, there are so many details to manage that it's easy for unexpected expenses to spring up and surprise you.

Even with the best wedding budget tool, it's hard to account for every little thing, know that plenty of brides and grooms are caught off guard by small, less talked about expenses.

So, before finalizing your budget, be sure to review these 5 unexpected expenses to make sure you've got everything covered.

Post Wedding Cost

The expense doesn't end on your wedding day. You may be blindsided as some costs will hit you hard right after the wedding. Some little expense like dry-cleaning of your dress afterwards, the possibility of any breakage fees etc.

Wedding Day Transportation

If your ceremony and reception will take place at two different venues, then you'll need viable transportation for yourself and some close relatives that may need.

At weddings, you have elderly and very young guests who may not find it easy navigating both venues especially if they aren't familiar with the area, and instead of renting multiple vehicles or having delays, it's cheaper and more effective to rent a bus that can convey several guests at a time.

Feeding Service Providers

Your wedding photographer, videographer, band, DJ etc will be at the venue for most of the day. Bear in mind they'll be working long hours including preparation and it's not practical for them to bring a packed lunch, as a result, they're going to need some fuel to keep going!

The happier they are, the better the condition they are to work and deliver awesome results. Vendors knowing you have them in mind for meals gives them the confidence to focus on their main work instead of getting distracted by queuing for food. If it's not in the contract, plan accordingly for their meals throughout the day.

Bachelor/Bachelorette Party

Although traditionally the Bachelor/Bachelorette party is meant to celebrate the celebrant and is hosted/paid for by their various BFFs. The truth is that many couples do end up pitching in to ease the burden, considering what they are comfortable with. These parties are meant to celebrate you, so your tribe should spoil you just a bit.

Forgotten Items/Miscellaneous

If you're not getting ready at home don't assume that your accommodation will provide early check-in allowing you time to dress and prepare.

You may need to book the night before or pay a fee to have access to your room very early in the morning. Remember that you and your bridesmaids will also need to arrange breakfast for you and the vendors (Make-up artist) that will be working early.
