Wonu and Funso affirmed their love for each other recently at Arch Bishop Vining, Ikeja, followed by their swanky outdoor wedding reception held at the Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos. The duo met in university and dated for nine (9) years before taking the plunge.
The Proposal
Christmas 2007 was meant to be a quiet one apart from each other with Funso in England and Wonu in Lagos. Funke (Funso's sister) took Wonu out for a nice relaxed dinner at a Chinese Restaurant, Wonu's favourite. After the orders had been placed, the starters arrived with an engagement ring in Wonu's bowl in place of her soup, puzzled she called the waiter to find out what was going on and he (the waiter) came to the table accompanied by Funso who went down on one knee.... the rest as they say is history.
