I always thought the idea of soul mates was far-fetched, like really, is there one person and ONLY one person that is your one true life partner, who you have that instant 'deep' connection with? Is a soul mate a life partner? Or someone you have a deep connection with? Or both? Now don't get me wrong, I believe in love, as a matter of fact I am a proud to say I am hopelessly in love with my husband and I believe that we are a great match. However, I believe that ALL relationships require some work to keep the flame burning, and are not without the occasional challenge(s). So is my husband my soulmate? Depending on how you define it, Yes and No. If you're of the mindset that a soulmate is one you share a 'deep' connection with, who understands you, makes you a better person and all the other 'toe curling' stuff, then yes he is my soul mate. If you go further with ideals like a soulmate is the one and only person on the planet that is meant to be your life partner then how can I be so sure? So over to you, do you believe in soul mates?
