Start planning from last year.

You should have some things written down 2 to 3 months from the beginning of your wedding year. For instance, you can start planning from October for a wedding slated for December next year. Some of the things you need to start right away include:

Setting your wedding date.

Creating a wedding budget which has the guests in mind.

Estimate of the number of the guest you'd be having at your wedding.

Compile your guest list and organise their addresses.

In the case where they live far away, send the invitation cards to them.

If your budget allows for wedding planners, start sorting out for one.

Make preparations for a venue if you do not have a wedding planner.

Have a backup plan in case it's an outdoor venue for unforeseen circumstances like the rain.

Weddings can be a lot of work for couples. That's why it's best to
plan it the right way. A lot of people do not even know that there's a
timeline you can follow to ease the stress. You shouldn't wait until the wedding date
is close before you start planning. In fact, planning a wedding can take over a
year! You'll have enough time and you can take it one step at a time.
So here's a way to make planning your wedding nice and smooth: with a timeline.
