Wedding Diaries: Will you marry me?

I always envisioned a super romantic proposal…I have had dreams about the beach, restaurant, airport, ski trip, office…and so on. I can’t even keep track anymore. Never did I ever in my life think or believe that I was going get a proposal like the one I got…believe me it certainly wasn't your average proposal…

TEXT MESSAGE…what?…did your jaw drop! Yeah, that's was it, LOL! It's funny now, but I don’t think it was back then. A million things went through my mind; I mean was this guy for real. No flowers, no dinner, no candles, no walks on the beach, no speech…nothing but a text message saying "WILL YOU MARRY ME!"

It was so unbelievable; it made me evaluate my relationship and my worth! Then I did the typical thing, by asking DM, what he was thinking and you would never believe what he said…

He said it was an on the spot thing, we had just finished talking about our day, this is our tradition, we do this almost every night. Apparently there was something different about that night, that made him have a deep think after I had hung up and he knew he just had to ask me, he said he couldn’t wait to see me or even wait for the next minute…he just had to ask right then.

I said YES, YES, YES…people have often asked me why I accepted, my friends think that proposal was too ordinary, the truth is nothing about me and DM is ordinary, we have such an extraordinary relationship and that’s what matters.

Ladies, sometimes we need to look beyond the exterior, because we never know when the TEST might come, guys usually test us, especially when they are thinking of settling down. For them, it’s a way of them validating their decision or choice.

For me, I don’t really care if I get tested by a guy or not, because nothing about me is going to change. I never pretend to be someone else, I am always ME. The truth is you can only put up the pretense for so long…

My advice is when you meet someone, who is absolutely crazy about you, places no one above you and supports you in whatever you do…he's definitely a keeper!

Oh yeah! DM is planning a 'do over', I'm soooooo excited and this time it’s going to be AMAZING! I can feel it. Will keep you posted.
