Sugar Exclusive: All The Beautiful Highlights From Ngozi & Osaro's Wedding

Their Outfits

Ngozi wore a beautiful laser cut lace 'Elizabeth' dress by Deola Sagoe. While Osaro sported a custom made suit by M.O. Idowu

For Ngozi and Osaro, all roads led to 'The Venue' (an Oniru venue) on the 16th of April were they celebrated their union in the presence of family and friends. Their journey to the altar started twenty one years ago when they met through Osaro's sisters. In total, they dated on and off for thirteen years before Osaro 'proposed'

'He didn't exactly propose. It was something we talked about for a while and since we had been together for so long and built so many years of friendship, it seemed like the logical thing to do. However, the ring and 'a house ' was an element of surprise. '
- Ngozi (the bride)

Their big days took three months to plan with the help of family friends and a planner

'We had to use a planner as I'm really not into weddings....We used a planner for the white wedding and we also had help from Osaro's sister Kehinde. Kehinde and Deola were amazing and took the pressure off us completely. I was the perfect definition of a 'turn-up' bride- which could be frustrating for the planner as I wasn't really engaging. All I besides picking up outfit for the white wedding was show up at the venue.

The engagement party was organized by my brothers. We decided to play dress up and turn up in traditional attire. We specifically told our families we wanted a party and nothing formal. All the formal activity/ ceremony for traditional wedding took place earlier in the day at my dads house.

I actually didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. '
- Ngozi (the bride)

Ngozi's advice to new brides is not to sweat the small stuff!

'I challenged myself to remain calm through out and tried to solve one problem at a time. Planning a wedding can be very hectic but it's always important to delegate and have people to help out. I was lucky to have two amazing people help plan my wedding and my bridesmaids to help out with all the other elements that made my day eventful! '
