Onome and Gift met each other while studying at the School of Pharmacy in England, but it wasn't all academics for these two, soon after, the inseparable pair started a full fledged romantic relationship.
Gift wanted a really special proposal to Onome and planned various elaborate affairs to pop the big question, but Onome in sync with him was always able to figure out what he had up his sleeve, spoiling the big surprise. They say sometimes the best surprise is none at all, no drama, no lights, no parachutes or fancy dinners, Gift proposed to Onome in bed on a day that she least expected it. Their traditional wedding was held at the Onome's family home on the 6th of August, 2009 while the white wedding was celebrated on the 8th of August, 2009 at the Welcome Centre in Ikeja. They both exuded a radiant glow in their multiple wedding ensembles.
