Nigerian Wedding Food Trends We Want to Keep

Cocktails
Cocktails and Mocktails are perfect for everyone at your wedding especially the Ladies. Your mixologist should provide a selection which includes Pina Coladas, Mojitos, Daiquiris and the most popular mocktail Chapman, so deep is the love Nigerians have for chapman that it is now packaged and sold as “Smoove” .

Foodie Fact 101 : Food over fashion, because food can NEVER go out of style. Lol

Here are wedding food trends we just love to bits!

Desserts
Warm brownies with ice-cream, Strawberry gateux or lemon tarts, nothing beats the excitement you feel when you see the dessert waiter approach your table, gracefully lowers the tray to reveal a selection of desserts, however the catch is you only get to pick one item **sigh** decisions, decisions, decisions!

Ice cream cart and milkshakes
“I Scream, You Scream, We scream for ice cream” Lol. I think we can all agree that the best part of living in Nigeria, is that its always a great time for Ice cream. For your wedding, you can have an Ice cream cart set up with all your favourite flavours for your guests to have in mini cups or cones, or milkshakes which are also ice-cream based but flavoured with berries, cookies and alcohol if you like. These are a must have for outdoor weddings especially during the dry season.

Chocolate Fountain
This trend started a few years ago, and we can’t get enough of it, everything you could possibly dip into chocolate is made available, biscuits, fruits, marshmallows, etc. it’s a great alternative to the weird bagged almond sweet treat given out at weddings in the 90’s and when positioned right, a great place to catch the attention of potential baes **wink**.

Small chops F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!
I think the title sums it up, small chops can never go out of style. No one dares to throw a party without small chops, even with the most limited budget, the mighty puff puff must make an appearance!
