A Match Made in Heaven!

I was chatting with an older friend of mine Sola Adewumi one afternoon and he said "it’s dangerous for a fine girl to be alone, makes her too vulnerable. There are good guys out there and I'll find you one". I was shocked as he sounded really excited to help and he asked for my specs which I gave him. He said he was going to get back to me.

Sola buzzed two days after and sent Dami’s pictures and I had this look on my face like *he is cute but young* And I asked 'why is he so young' he told me not to get deceived by the young look that he is way older than he looks.

Dami and I got chatting and we connected so well and then I found myself always giggling when we chat and one day I had to tell myself "Bunmi calm down".

Then Sola said "Bunmi, here is the deal. I would give Dami your pin, tell him to add you and say he stole your pin from my phone" and I was like that is so super cool.

We agreed to see on the Saturday of the week he added me, I told him I was going to work and then to the salon, we concluded he was going to come to the salon to see me. Later that evening at the salon, I buzzed him and asked if he was still coming only for him to reply that he was almost home....God I almost fainted, after waiting for so long. Anyways, Dami made a U turn and came to meet me at the salon.

I walked out of the salon with my hair done half way, I raised my head up and saw this tall dark and extremely cute guy smiling and standing by his car, gosh my heart melted although I did not let him notice! I went to him, gave him a side hug, a broad smile and we started talking.

The next day we agreed to see after my meeting. He came to pick me up at KFC Allen and we went to Bheerhugz with another friend of his. It was so much fun, I had enough time to look at his smile, dentition and eyes. We spoke at length, we laughed a lot, and we had a great evening. He dropped me off at home and left for his place.

From there on, we talked a lot, we connected, we shared things, we laughed together, we saw once to twice a week, we did spontaneous things together and now we are here. I bless the day we met, he has been indeed a blessing to me. The way he looks at me is just so different, he tickles my fancy and yes he makes me laugh a lot.

I got home after a quite busy day, while thinking of what to make for dinner, I picked up my phone and got a message from a married friend whom I hold in very high regard “Dami… are you still single!” I was shocked to have seen this from ‘Sola Adewunmi. Though I was enjoying my single status, I reluctantly replied with a yes out of curiosity and the next thing he said was I want you to meet a friend, there was a big grin on my face and just like every normal guy I replied with send me her picture, he sent about 4 of her pictures and told me she is a youth corper, and some other sweet qualities, this was sometime in March/April 2013.

Seeing Olubunmi’s picture that night was dinner already and as a go-getter that I am I put a call through to Sola immediately to get all her details and Sola said I would have to tell her I saw her picture on his phone and stole her BBM PIN. At this point, I sighed and knew that was impossible for me. Sola insisted that I should do that and I refused, but he went on to convince me and I added Olubunmi up that night and we got talking.

I finally saw Olubunmi on the Saturday of that same week at a salon in Omole, Lagos, I am sure she can remember the date and time, and I was in the company of my friend ‘Kunle Samuel, I was in my car and called her out of the salon; she came out without delay with her hair not fully done (I gave her thumbs up for that) in a short dress and a NEXT sandal I stepped out and gave her a hug (felt like heaven) and I could not just take my eye off her legs because it was too clean and fresh and despite my fight to resist the Yoruba movie clips and stories from older married people we left her after some minutes and the first thing I said to Kunle after I was silent for about 3 minutes was "Baba! That is my wife"

God has brought us to this stage where we have decided to spend the rest of our lives together as husband and wife.
