Khushboo Saxena (the bride) was set to marry Omveer Singh (the groom) in an arranged marriage, but alarm bells rang for her after she noticed he made simple mistakes while reciting their wedding mantras. She confirmed her suspicions with a few simple tasks, she asked him to dial her number and he couldn't without multiple errors, she also gave him a few coins asking him to do some simple addition but Omveer was unable to count beyond the number 9. He was also quite confused by the apps on her phone when he asked to use the touch-screen smart phone.
Khushboo's family had been told that the groom was a graduate by those who acted as an intermediary between both families. The intermediaries also did not permit any interaction between both families, though the Khushboo's family was allowed to see him from a distance.
Kushboo has since cancelled her wedding.
