Easy Ways To Be A House Manager Not A House Slave

1. Know your position

Remember you are not a slave, but a home-maker and manager. Don’t try to hard to save the day or make the house free of chaos. Each day, there’s something to accomplish, whether you accomplish it fully or not, just try your best to make the most of your time, but don’t try too much and break down.

2. Know your worth

When you know your worth, it becomes easier to manage things. You are not just a wife but a creator, a manager, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a hard worker among so many other things.

When you know your worth, you’ll be eager to manage your home, show appreciation for the life you have being given, and happily take charge of the responsibilities you have; which are your children and husband.

3. Be prepared for everything coming your way

Don’t be caught unawares, a typhoid might arise in the middle of the night, get your medicine box equipped with drugs including oral rehydration salt. And when your home seems to always be in constant shambles, don’t despair, keep on top of things by always doing chunks of works on busy days, so they don’t pile up.

4. Have a written daily routine

Each day for each chore, Monday to Friday, if you do the cooking on Sunday, shopping and laundry on Saturday, Ironing on Wednesday etc, even if you use just one hour for each chore, you will accomplish something at the end of the day. Have a schedule that’ll work fine for you.

5. Clean on the go

Don’t wait till your house looks like the rat’s den before you start cleaning, when you are going to the bedroom and you see a pair of socks on the floor, pick them up, you can pick up a broom and do a quick sweep before leaving for work, then grab a water can and wash your hand, you just cleaned up the house.
