Caster Semenya, Lesbian South African Track Stars Marries her Long Time Girlfriend

Caster's Girlfriend, Violet Raseboya

 

Caster Semenya, a twenty-four year old South African track athlete married her long time girlfriend, Violet Raseboya in the Capricon District of Limpopo. According to reports they got engaged in May last year but were quick to deny the reports.

According to the Daily Sun website, Caster, 24, sent her parents to Violet's family to negotiate lobola (South African bride price, traditionally paid with cattle).

Caster shot to stardom in 2009 when she won gold in the women's 800m at the IAAF's World Championships in Berlin, before being controversially subjected to gender testing.

She was cleared and won the silver medal at the 2011 World Championship in Daegu.

Semenya's greatest sports achievement to date is her 800m silver medal win at 2012 London Olympics.
