Bolaji and Remi Ogbara

Earlier this year, the Bisiriyu-Giwa and Ogbara families celebrated the union of their children Bolaji and Remi respectively. They opted for one grandiose event where all basis were covered with the yoruba engagement, nikkai, registry and reception all on the same day. The exciting day started early with the traditional wedding, where a radiant Bolaji clad in warm hues of orange and gold as complimented by Remi who wore white with a gold damask 'fila'. The excitement and festivities easily flowed into the nikkai ceremony were both were married by Islamic rite by noon.

All this was made possible when Bolaji met Remi through a mutual friend in December 2008, by May of the following year Bolaji and Remi officially became an item. Exactly a year later, Remi proposed with a stunning ring which he carried around with him for three weeks before proposing, looking for the right moment to propose.

Planning quickly went underway with the help of wedding planning outfit 1908 connect, and in seven months the big day finally came. Their registry signing and reception took place at the 10 degrees event center in Oregun which was decorated in their wedding colours, lavender and purple. Amidst much fanfare and custom, the couple arrived the venue and danced with family and friends into the night to the rhythmic voice of popular wedding singer Mrs. Ayo Balogun.
