The focus this week is the infamous ijaw community of the Niger Delta.
Did you know that Ijaw brides are not supposed to smile until she is been sprayed by her husband? Weird right……I thought so too. So here's the scoop, from the moment she walks out and she's been cheered and sprayed by her friends, family and even her in-laws, she is not expected to smile or even give the slightest smile until her husband comes to spray her. Only from that point is she expected to smile.
