Earlier this month a creative Nigerian man declared his intentions to his girlfriend in a hotel swimming pool.
Though mostly positive there were many funny reactions to this very different proposal.

"..I spent 3weeks planning to propose to my girlfriend. I coordinated with over 20 of our friends and we all brainstormed on various ideas to surprise her with it and make it memorable.it cost me quite a sizable amount but I must say it was worth everything to see the tears drop down her eyes and the shock on her face that eventually turned into a big smile .it's the 21st century and marriages have long stopped been about a woman becoming a slave to a man.well,as they say,marriage is for men so I guess only a true man understands the reason why a proposal should become a memory that will be eetched in the woman's mind forever.."
