5 Creative Proposal Ideas

Will you marry me?

The clock is ticking, and you have reached that point in your relationship where you are ready to commit and lay your cards out. You are also in possession of the perfect ring but how do you get your message across with these four famous words: “Will you marry me?”. Here are five creative proposal ideas to help you out this year:

  • Help from an Author

Chances are that you know her favourite author and what book she’s hoping to read next. Buy her this book and make an effort to get an autograph and personalised message by the author saying “Will you marry me?”. Expect squeals and tears of joy.

  • Destination Proposal

This involves going all out to plan a special trip and work with people at your destination hotel to bring your plan to action. Order fresh red roses and scented candles to decorate the hotel room before your arrival. When she enters a sweet-smelling room with the four special words spelt out with roses on a king size bed, it’s time for you to get down on bended knee.

  • Scavenger Hunt

This is an excellent opportunity to treat her to a manicure, pedicure and some shopping. Leave her clues by sending her messages and voice notes until she’s dressed up to meet you at your final location. Be ready with a photographer, soft music, nice food and wine.

  • RnB Proposal

Pull all the stops and surprise bae with her favourite song with a mini performance by her favourite local singer. Surprise her at her office or in front of the family with some champagne and cupcakes while you bring out the diamond ring.

  • Propose with art

Get a local artist to draw a caricature of you on one knee proposing to your future bride and have it strategically placed in an art gallery while you take her shopping for “art” in your new home.

You could make your proposal extra special with a combination of two or three ideas planned to blow your future bride’s mind. Take a cue and get creative with your proposal this February!
